Commercial law, also known as mercantile law or trade law, is the body of law that applies to the rights, relations, and conduct of persons and business engaged
in commerce, merchandising, trade, and sales. It is often considered to be a branch of civil law and deals with issues of both private law and public law.

What Is Commercial Law?

Commercial law is a body of law that regulates the conduct of persons, merchants, and businesses who are engaged in trade, sales, and commerce. Also
known as business law, it is a broad area of law that interacts with many other areas of law such as environmental regulation, real estate, and food/safety
laws.

Some of the main branches of commercial law are consumer protection, contract laws, and intellectual property laws.
