man named Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin‘s name was
Mary. And when the angel had come to her, he said: ‘Hail, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. …behold, thou
shalt conceive in thy womb and shalt bring forth a son; and thou shalt

CHAPTER 3
42
A. MORNING PRAYER
Let us place ourselves in the presence of God and humbly adore Him
Most holy and adorable Trinity, one God in three Persons, I
believe that Thou art here present. I adore Thee with the deepest
humility; and render to Thee with my whole heart, the homage which
is due Thy sovereign Majesty. Grant me the grace to pray as I ought.
ACT OF FAITH
O my God! I firmly believe that Thou art one God in three Divine
Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; I believe that Thy
Divine Son became man, and died for our sins, and that He will come
to judge the living and the dead, I believe these and all the truths which
the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because Thou hast revealed them,
who canst neither deceive nor be deceived.
ACT OF HOPE
O My God! Relying on Thy almighty power and infinite mercy and
promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of Thy grace and
life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and
Redeemer.
Let us thank God for all His many graces and offer ourselves up to
Him
O my God! I most humbly thank Thee, for all the favours Thou
hast bestowed upon me to the present moment. I give Thee thanks
43
from the bottom of my heart that Thou hast created me after Thine
own image and likeness, that Thou hast redeemed me by the Precious
Blood of Thy dear Son, and that Thou hast preserved me and brought
me safe to the beginning of another day, I offer to Thee, O Lord, my
thoughts, words, actions and sufferings of this day. I consecrate them
all to the glory of Thy name, beseeching Thee, that through the infinite
merits of Jesus Christ, my Savior, they may all find acceptance in Thy
sight. May Thy divine love animate them, and may they all tend to Thy
greater Glory.
44
Let us invoke the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, Our Guardian
Angel and Our good Patron Saint.
45
B. EVENING PRAYER
Let us place ourselves in the presence of God and humbly adore Him
O my God, I present myself before Thee at the end of another
day, to offer Thee anew the homage of my heart. I humbly adore Thee,
my Creator, my Redeemer, and my Judge. I believe in Thee, because
Thou art Truth itself; I hope in Thee, because Thou art faithful to Thy
promises; I love Thee with my whole heart because Thou art infinitely
worthy of being loved; and for Thy sake I love my neighbor as myself.
Let us give thanks to God for all the benefits which we have received
from Him:
Enable me, O my God, to return Thee thanks as I ought for Thy
inestimable blessings and favours. Thou hast thought of me and loved
me for all eternity; Thou hast formed me out of nothing, Thou hast
delivered up Thy beloved Son to the ignominious death of the cross for
my redemption; Thou hast made me a member of Thy Holy Church;
Thou hast preserved me from falling into the abyss of eternal misery,
when my sins had provoked Thee to punish me; and Thou hast
graciously continued to spare me, even though I have not ceased to
offend Thee. What return, O my God, can I make for Thy innumerable
blessings, and particularly for the favours of this day? O all ye angels
and saints, unite with me in praising the God of mercies, who is so
bountiful to so unworthy a creature.
46
EXAMINATION OF CONSCIENCE
Particular examination against my particular fault (take note the
number of times) General Examination: with regard to all the sins
committed today against God, against our neighbour, and against
ourselves… in thought… word… deed… or by omission.
Let us ask God pardon for our sins and make the firm resolution to
sin no more
O my God, I heartily repent, and am grieved that I have offended
Thee, because Thou art infinitely good, and sin is infinitely displeasing
to Thee, I humbly ask of Thee mercy and pardon, through the infinite
merits of Jesus Christ. I resolve with the assistance of Thy grace, to do
penance for my sins and I will endeavour never more to offend Thee.
Let us pray for the Church militant and the Church suffering:
O God, hear my prayer on behalf of our Holy Father Pope N., our
bishops, our clergy, and for all that are in authority over us. Bless, I
beseech Thee, the whole Catholic Church, and convert all heretics and
unbelievers. Pour down Thy blessings, O Lord, upon all my relatives,
friends, benefactors, and upon those who wish me evil. Help the poor,
the imprisoned, the afflicted, those who travel, the sick and those who
are in their last agony. O God of mercy and goodness, have compassion
on the souls of the faithful departed in Purgatory; put an end to their
sufferings, and grant to them eternal light, rest, and happiness.
O almighty and eternal God, who savest and willest not that any
should perish, look we beseech Thee upon the souls that are led astray
by the deceits of the devil; that rejecting all errors, the hearts of those
who err may be converted, and return to the unity of Thy Truth.
Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen
47
Bless, O Lord, the repose I am about to take, that my bodily
strength being renewed, I may be better enabled to serve Thee. O
Blessed Virgin Mary , Mother of Mercy, Saint Joseph, my Guardian
Angel, good Patron Saint, and all ye saints and angels of paradise,
watch over and pray for me, not only during this night, but for the rest
of life, and particularly at the hour of my death.
Blessed souls of the just, who have entered the happiness of
glory, obtain for me two things of our God and Father: that I may never
offend Him mortally, and that He may keep me from all that is
displeasing to Him Amen.
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of host; the earth is full of Thy glory.
Glory be to the Father, Glory be to the Son, Glory be to the Holy Ghost.
Amen

C. OTHERS PRAYERS
PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH
In our tribulation, we fly to Thee, O Blessed Joseph, and after
imploring the help of Thy Most Holy Spouse, we ask also with
confidence for They patronage. By the affection which united Thee to
the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and the paternal love with
which Thou didst embrace the child Jesus, we beseech Thee to look
kindly upon the inheritance which Jesus Christ acquired by His Precious
Blood, and by Thy powerful aid to help us in our needs. Protect, most
careful guardian of the Holy Family, the chosen people of Jesus Christ.
Keep us, most loving Father, from all pestilence of error and
corruption. Be merciful to us, most powerful protector, from Thy place
in Heaven, in this warfare with the powers of darkness; and as Thou
didst snatch the child Jesus from danger of death, so now defend the
Holy Church of God from the snares of the enemy and from all
adversity. Guard each of us by Thy perpetual patronage, so that,
sustained by Thy example and help, we may live in holiness, die a holy
death, and obtain the everlasting happiness of heaven. Amen.

CHAPTER 4
54
A. ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATA
by Fr. Maximilian Kolbe
O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and
our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of
mercy to thee. I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at thy feet,
humbly imploring thee to take me with all that I am and have, wholly
to thyself as thy possession and property. Please make of me, of all my
powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity,
whatever most pleases thee.
If it pleases thee, use all that I am and have without reserve,
wholly to accomplish what was said of thee: “She will crush your
head,” and “Thou alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole
world.” Let me be a fit instrument in thine immaculate and merciful
hands for introducing and increasing thy glory to the maximum in all
the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as
possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For
wherever thou enters thou obtains the grace of conversion and growth
in holiness, since it is through thy hands that all graces come to us from
the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Amen
55
B. CONSECRATION OF THE PARISH OR SCHOOL OR
CITY
“The consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a testimony of
her sovereignty; a loyal submission to her authority; a filial and
constant love in return; a commitment to work towards the
establishment of her royalty in God’s kingdom, which is the Church, so
that she may be loved, venerated, and served by each one of us in the
family, in society, and in the world.”
(Pius XII in the radio message at the Crowning of Our Lady of Fatima - May 13, 1946)
56
hear our prayers and console us in the sorrows and tribulations of this
life and particularly at the hour of our death.
We want to call down upon our families and [parish/school/ city],
our country and the whole world the peace of God in justice and
charity. On our part, we promise to imitate thy virtues in a spirit of
reparation and penance by a true Christian life, by frequent
confessions and holy Communions, by fervent participation in the
divine Liturgy, and by attentive study of the catechism without regard
to human respect.
O Queen of the Holy Rosary, we promise to offer thee the prayer
of the rosary each day.
We accept now, all the sacrifices that a Christian life will impose
on us, and we offer them to the Heart of Jesus, by thy Immaculat e
Heart, in union with the Mass of thy divine Son.
O Mother of fair love, inflame in our hearts, [parish/school/ city]
and homes, with the divine fire to keep us faithful to our duty of state
and to become, with the grace of God, zealous apostles towards our
neighbours and poor sinners by our example, our sacrifices and
prayers, bringing them to the practice of the true Faith.
57
C. CONSECRATION OF THE FSSPX
To thee, O Immaculate Mother of God, do we have recourse in
this supreme hour of mankind’s need, amidst such storms indeed as
have never been known, shaking Mother Church to her very
foundations. Thou, who standing by the foot of the Cross, didst once
share so closely in the sufferings of thy Divine Son with what
compassion art thou not moved today for the suffering of His Mystical
Body, the Church!
Whilst outside the Church, Communism has so spread its errors
in all directions that the Church herself is infected by them; at the same
time within her very bosom the virus of a false ecumenism poisons
souls without number, either tearing them away or keeping them
outside of the unity of the true Faith and the one and only Ark of
Salvation.
Amidst so many ruins and so many betrayals, may it please
Almighty God, following an ancient example, to prepare this priestly
society of ours, a small band of rebuilders, who, being truly aware of
our own frailty, turn to thee today, O Virgin most Powerful, Help of
Christians.
Recognizing that our own strength is so little compared to the
magnitude of the task entrusted to us, we wish to place ourselves
under thy motherly and powerful protection, O Virgin who are terrible
as an army in battle array, and to whom it was promised from the
beginning, that thou wouldst tread upon the head of the serpent.
Amidst these dangers hanging over our heads, we beseech God, Who
has deigned to call us to the service of His Church, that He vouchsafe
to seal and confirm our calling through thee, O Ark of the Covenant.
Therefore, O Virgin Immaculate, before thy throne of grace, we
prostrate ourselves today, desiring to increase thy praise and glory.
And to the filial love which Christ thy Son has for thee, we may
add our humble contribution, here and now beneath the most special
title of thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, we irrevocably consecrate
58
our priestly Society of St. Pius X, with its priests, seminarians and
brothers, sisters, oblates and tertiaries, and all its spiritual family. In
order that thou shouldst be now the Lady and Queen of our district by
a perpetual donation into thy hands, we offer and entrust our bodies
and our souls, our possessions and our homes, our priories and
schools, our churches and missions, that they may truly belong to
Thee, that thou mayest ever have us ready at thy command. We hand
over and consecrate also the souls entrusted to us, especially our
families and our students, that thou mayest guard them beneath thy
motherly care; finally, we commend to thee our apostolate with all our
projects, and we relinquish it that it may be wholly thine, O Queen of
Apostles! Thus, our district is now wholly thy domain!
60
profanation of the very Sacrament of Thy Divine Love;* and lastly for
the public crimes of nations* who resist the rights and teaching
authority of the Church which Thou hast founded.
Would, O divine Jesus, we were able to wash away such
abominations with our blood.* We now offer, in reparation for these
violations of Thy divine honour,* the satisfaction Thou didst once
made to Thy Eternal Father on the cross* and which Thou dost
continue to renew daily on our altars;* we offer it in union with the
acts of atonement of Thy Virgin Mother* and all the Saints and of the
pious faithful on earth;* and we sincerely promise to make
recompense,* as far as we can with the help of Thy grace,* for all
neglect of Thy great love* and for the sins which we and others have
committed in the past.* Henceforth we will live a life of unwavering
faith,* of purity of conduct,* of perfect observance of the precepts of
the Gospel* and especially that of charity.* We promise to the best of
our power to prevent other from offending Thee* and to bring as many
as possible to follow Thee.

E. FIVE FIRST SATURDAYS IN REPARATION TO THE
IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
1. SPIRIT OF REPARATION
The spirit of reparation is a loving desire to make reparation to
and console the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Our Mother. It
considers the offenses which the Immaculate Heart of Mary now
receives from those who reject her maternal intervention and despise
her prerogatives. One should make this intention before carrying out
our Lady’s requests. And “make sacrifice of everything” can be an
perfect way to repair and console Her Heart
3. REPARATORY COMMUNION
This is the essential act of this devotion. If a just reason prevents
the Communion on a First Saturday, with the priest’s permission, it
may be received the following Sunday. In this case, the rosary and a
15-minute meditation should be prayed on Sunday too.
62
5. 15-MINUTE MEDITATION
Also offered in reparation, the meditation may embrace one or
more mysteries; it may include all, taken together or separately. This
meditation should be rich and easy, because our Lady promised to be
present when she said “...those who keep me company....”
“My daughter, the reason is simple. There are five types of offenses
and blasphemies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:
64
1. RECEPTION OF OUR LADY

2. ARRIVAL IN THE CHURCH
A. HYMNS: Ave Maria or other Marian Songs
B. ENTRANCE INTO THE CHURCH
The procession enters the church as all sing Tota Pulchra, (p.83)
holding their candles or flowers. The choir should perform another
beautiful song if possible and convenient.
C. INSTALLATION IN THE CHURCH
As the statue is placed on its stand or small altar in the place of the
Mission, or in the Church or Chapel, the priest and then the faithful
bring their flowers to place at the feet of Our Lady. All face the statue
as they sing, Immaculate Mary. (p. 89)

G. ROSARY
Then the rosary is prayed as solemnly as possible. (For example, one
may sing the Latin antiphons found in the Rosary Warfare book pp 114
– 159. Or a preached and meditated Rosary may be said.)
69
3. CLOSING CEREMONY
The carossa of Our Lady is prepared in front of the church. All the
clergy and the different parish groups are present for the closing
ceremony.
The ceremony begins inside the Church while all are prepared for the
procession for the last prayers which will be said outside the church.
A. PRAYERS OF FATIMA
After vesting in the sacristy (surplice, white stole and cope), the priest
makes a reverence at the main altar and comes in front of the statue.
All pray together the prayers of the Angel of Fatima: (p. 57)
B. SERMON
The priest takes off the cope for the sermon. He addresses some words
to Our Lady; he recalls graces received and encourages keeping the
resolutions made during the visit of Our Lady to the parish.
C. ROSARY
The rosary is prayed as solemnly as possible.
4. DEPARTURE
The procession leaves the church (thurifer, cross bearer and acolytes,
priest and clergy, Our Lady’s statue, civil authorities and faithful) as all
sing O Queen of the Holy Rosary(p. 92), or another song to Our Lady
[holding candles.]
70
A. OFFERING OF FLOWERS
When the priest is outside the church and near the statue, in two lines,
the faithful will offer to the Blessed Virgin a flower. (After the
ceremony, a parish picture around the statue may be taken.)
71
