Requesting contribution for Sahar and Iftar

arrangements of Ramadan - 2023

Dear Sir/Ma’am,
The Association of Islamic Students of University of Kelaniya is a body
formed by our own Muslim undergraduates to understand the social
responsibilities and help each other within the university community.
Among nearly 300 Muslim undergraduates, there are 250 students who
are accommodated in the university hostels and private boarding houses
around the university. As one of the noble initiatives of AISUOK, we are
obliged to make Sahar and Iftar arrangements for these undergraduates
throughout the month of Ramadan as there are no proper Islamic food
facilities around the university. This project has been consistently carried
out for more than eighteen years so far by AISUOK further helping along
the undergraduates to carry out their religious observances without any
inconvenience.
The Annual Grand Iftar is a massive project initiated by the AISUOK to
enhance unity among the members of our association and it is a vast
opportunity to denote Muslim undergraduates' progress as a community
to the outer university community. Authoritative officials and university
staff including the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Deans of faculties and
Department Heads from all the departments of the university will be
present to witness this unique Islamic gathering. Apart from the
university staff, the members from other communities will also join this
remarkable occasion representing unity among communities.
Although these projects are a positive track for the Muslim
undergraduates, it is not easy to carry out and complete them. Thus, the
above-mentioned couple of initiatives need a huge assistance towards
completion. Therefore, in regards with the financial subject, we highly
appreciate your contribution towards these noble acts. Looking forward
