We start with the Federal Reserve Bank in Cleveland, OH and a deep-dive of their
2008 case studies across America. We REVISIT-REVISIT-REVISIT the Brookings
Institution and Federal Reserve case study of ENDURING CONCENTRATED
POVERTY, part 1 and the Enduring Challenge of Concentrated Poverty in America,
part 2.
Secondly, FRONTLINE has documentaries that we are using to look at critical
issues like FACING EVICTION. A REPORT ABOUT FAMILIES - mothers, single-parent
mothers, landlords, moratoriums, court mandates, staggering high rent,
INCONSISTENCY IN GUIDELINES, and lack of information in CA, TEXAS, PA, OH,
AND IL.
We, THE People, must view the video at the top of this report called, “AGE of
Easy Money” for perspective and context of the public square that the 14
mayors and city council are to bring to the table for their constituents.
At the Ohio State Bar Association, we see inclusion and diversity as central
to not only our organization, but to the legal profession. We believe in the
power of inclusive and diverse perspectives, and we are focused on creating
an environment where everyone is treated equally, with dignity and respect.
#2
Our commitment is to support the legal community in its aspirational goal of
bringing together people of diverse backgrounds, traditions, and personal
experiences.
#3
But full diversity cannot be achieved without inclusion. This is the
cornerstone of fairness and respect because inclusion is about making all
people count and providing an environment where people can do their best
work. Inclusion drives engagement and motivation. When fully included, we
feel informed, appreciated, and part of something important.
#4
We’ve seen numerous studies and data points of one ethnic group being
chosen over another, of one gender being favored time and time again. We’ve
also seen how those viewpoints are beginning to change. People across the
country and around the world are now recognizing that organizations do
perform better when they are more diverse. And when a broad pool of
perspectives and knowledge is available, we are smarter, have more authentic
interactions and make better decisions.
#5
At the OSBA, we have taken the initiative to address diversity within our
organization—and within the legal profession. Our employees come from
different backgrounds, countries, genders and sexual orientation. We
encourage others in the profession to follow suit. By fostering an inclusive
culture, we attract and retain people who will grow our own organization,
while strengthening the legal profession overall.
#6
Led by our standing Advisory Council on Diversity Initiatives (ACDI), the
OSBA also serves as a convener and educator, hosting implicit bias and other
training, and offering resources to legal professionals who want to lead and
make a difference.
#7
Our focus on diversity and inclusion continues to drive our commitment of
fairness, equality and putting people first.
FPP has chosen April and May 2023 for its ANNOUNCEMENT by launching a 14-
community Network for Mayors and Council members that are served by Bedford
