THEME: Connecting Social, Financial, and
Human Sciences Research for Sustainable Development
The conference provides a platform for the presentation of new theories, advances, and
research results in commerce & management, economics, sociology, psychology, public
policy & sustainability. This conference is an attempt to bring together academicians,
researchers, social scientists, policymakers, and students to share their scholarly
endeavors with global experts. The papers will go through a rigorous blind peer-
reviewed process and be evaluated based on the novelty of ideas, originality, accuracy,
research depth and relevance to the conference topics and themes.

Themes
In the past decades, with an increase in population, resource dependence has reached new
heights leading to ecological, economic, and social challenges like never before.
Functionally, there have been deep and hard voices demanding sustainability for our
existing as well as future generations. There have been responses as well. With increased
awareness, education, information, and interest, attempts are being made to arrive at
solutions that drive us toward a sustainable future. Research indicates that businesses, as
well as social leaders, are consciously making policy-level changes as well. Be it through
social experiments or empirical validation but attempts are being made.
Through this conference, we aim to bring together these varied realms of researchers,
scholars, and champions together to showcase their work to a larger audience of like-
minded people and engage with scholars who have made a name for themselves in
various fields to draw inspiration for furthering their work. The conference shall also
provide emerging scholars feedback from our panel of experts to fine-tune their work.
This international conference also aims to provide a platform to explore existing
complexities emerging from the interactions and interrelationships of the various
functional areas with a focus on sustainability. It welcomes discussions, arguments, and
submissions related to the identified sub-themes and other areas that are relevant and
appropriate to the main theme. The conference encourages research with a critical or
comparative approach.

About Us
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, a visionary philanthropist is the founder of KIIT & KISS
Universities. He comes from a very humble background with a vision to eradicate
poverty through education. He lost his father when he was only 4 years old & went
through acute poverty in his childhood. However, he was determined to change his
future by education and later when he became a professor, he took it upon himself to
provide quality education to thousands of poor children for changing their future. He
developed a unique model of social transformation by building side by side two great
academic institutions - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology for the well-to-do,
and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences for the poor. This unique symbiotic model
has grown over the last 25 years into two distinct universities, the KIIT University - Prof. Achyuta Samanta
running in self-financing mode providing education to over 25000 students in Founder, KISS & KIIT
subjects ranging from engineering to BioChemistry, from Law to Social Science, Member of Parliament
from Management to film making and the KISS University with over 35000 students
(Lok Sabha)
from pre-primary to Post Graduation level out of which 25000 are in University
campus in BBSR and remaining 15000 are in satellite campuses in distinct tribal hinterlands of the country.
Over 20 Nobel laureates and over 100 Heads of State have visited KISS and applauded the development model.
Prof. Sasmita Samanta is an accomplished academic leader and an academician
with deep passion for research manifested in her Postdoc from Taiwan, after her
Ph.D. in Management. She is a Stanford LEAD Alumna and Stanford
Distinguished Scholar, from Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford
University. She has been honored with various Awards and Recognitions
including the ‘Asia’s greatest Educational Leaders 2021’ award at the Greatest
Brands and leaders 2021-22 Asia-Americas- Africa; ‘India’s Most Promising
