Narrator:

Good evening, Parents,

I am _______________from Class 2. Welcome to our Annual concert 2023. This year


we will be taking you on a journey where we will discover everything that makes up a
garden. So, sit back, and enjoy the ride.

Have you ever wondered what different bugs and insects roam around in your garden
when its springtime?
Today, in this beautiful garden, there’s a lot happening.
But first, lets welcome our choir as they celebrate spring and take us into the
wonderful world of bugs and insects.

Choir: Opening song. It’s a beautiful day

Scene 1: Flowers

Narrator: It is a beautiful day in the garden. The flowers are blooming, the trees are
swaying in the cool spring breeze, the grass is lush, and the sweet fragrance of
flowers has filled the air.

2A - Flower dance.

Scene 2: Honeybees

Narrator: Where there’s flowers, there’s bees. Bees are very small and wonderful
insects. They do an important job for all the plant life on this planet. These
hardworking creatures buzz around, flying from flower to flower collecting nectar and
store it in their hives. The life of a bee teaches us to work hard and be active. So, let’s
see what these busy creatures are upto in the garden today.

Scene 3: Butterflies

Narrator: Can there be a garden without butterflies? Butterflies love the sunshine. If
you walk in a garden on a sunny day, you will often find beautiful butterflies feeding
on the nectar of bright flowers and blossoms. Their lovely colours are made up of
millions of tiny scales that cover the wings. So, let’s have a look at these
mesmerizing insects as they flutter around the flowers, adding to the beauty of the
garden.

Scene 4: Lady bugs


Narrator: When we see flashes of red and white in the garden, it is sure to be the
ladybugs. These sophisticated little creatures are found throughout the world. They
can either be red, orange, yellow, grey or even pink. And you know what. Ladybugs
are considered a symbol of good luck in some parts of the world. So, lets watch
these wonderful bugs as they wander in the garden, spreading luck everywhere.

Scene 5: Fireflies

Narrator: When the sun sets, there’s another special bug that lights up the night and
drives away the darkness. The fireflies. Did you know that fireflies, also known as
lightning bugs and forest stars are not flies but beetles just like ladybugs? They can
make yellow, green or sometimes orange light. They use these light flashes to talk to
each other, or to warn predators. But when they glow, it looks magical. Let’s welcome
these bugs and see the magic happen.
