Learning about Light Wave

There are seven types of waves.

(1) Radio Wave
(2) Micro Wave
(3) Infrared Wave
(4) Visible Wave
(5) UV (Ultra violet)
(6) X-ray
(7) Gamma ray
Radio waves - Radio waves are detected in black hole, stars, planet in the process of being born and
dying star.
Micro waves – Micro waves can penetrate clouds of smoke but are scattered by water droplets, so they
are used for mapping meteorologic disturbances and in weather forecasting.]
Infrared waves - Infrared waves are detected in plants, cool stars and nebulae.
Visible Light – We can find visible light Rainbow colour, Sunlight and Light bulb.
UV (Ultra Violet)– UV (Ultra Violet waves are detected in paints, dyes, minerals, animals and body
fluicls.
X-ray – X-ray is detected in bone fractures, certain tumors and other abnormal masses, Pneumonia, some
types of injuries, calcifications, foreign objects or dental problems.
Gamma Ray – Gamma rays are detected in potassium, thorium and uranium.
Where does the light waves used?
Radio waves are also used in Radio Broadcasting, BADAR and Radio Telemetry.
Micro waves are also used in Microwave Oven, GPS and Wifi.
3 examples of “Infrared Waves “are – (a) Remote Control, (b) Electric Heaters and (c) Night version
Goggle.
UV (Ultra Violet) waves are also used in killing bacteria, creating fluorescent effects and Air
Disinfection.
3 examples of “X-ray” are – Medical Science. Security and Industry.
Gamma rays are also used in Sterilize medical equipment, Used as tracers in Medicine and Gamma-Ray
Astronoumy.
Some Objects that can measure by radio wave – Eiffel Tower (324m) ,The Greatest Pyramid of Gaza
(139m) and Football Field (120m).

Microwave – Some Insects such as Ants, Honey bee, Butterfly.

Infrared Wave – Pinpoint, Pin head and Needle point.

Visible Light – Proto zones such as Amoeba, Paramecium, Euglena and Trypanosoma.

UV (Ultra Violet) – Molecules such as (SO3) – sulfur trioxide, (NO2) – nitrogen dioxide, (N2O4) –
dinitrogen tetroxide.

X-ray – Atoms, (He -Helium), (Li – Lithium), (Be – Beryllium).

Gamma ray – Atomic Nuclei, Helicium-2,Lithium-3,Beryllium-4.
