Jiopostpaid Plus Plan - Child Account Key Information
Existing Jio Prepaid or non Jio customer wishes to be a ‘Child Account’ to another JioPostPaid Plus account holder
1. The Parent account (On plan 599/799/999) needs to share a Coupon Code with the Child Account
2. The Child Account will need to visit Jio Store with Proof of Identity / Address and the Coupon code shared by the
Parent account
3. For existing PrePaid customer: With the help of the coupon code, the Jio Store / Retailer representative will help
convert the existing Prepaid number to a Postpaid Child account.
4. For Non Jio Customer: With the help of the coupon code, the Jio Store/Retailer will give you a new SIM for a
Postpaid Child Account
5. Rs.99 as one-time JioPrime charges will need to be paid. There is no need to pay Security Deposit for a Child SIM
6. Once the number is activated by the Retailer, the Parent account needs to Open MyJio App again and add the Child
account number in his / her Family Plan.
7. Once the account is added, the parent account can transfer Data to the child account
8. It may take up to midnight for completing this process. During this period, you will continue to receive only
Incoming Calls and SMS.
9. However, Outgoing Calls and Outgoing SMS will start only by midnight
Existing Jio PostPaid customer wishes to be a ‘Child Account’ to another JioPostPaid Plus account holder
1. The Parent account Holder (Who is either on Plan 599/799 or 999) will have to add your number through his/her
MyJio App to initiate the process.
2. Provide the OTP received to the Parent Account Holder
3. It may take up to midnight for completing this process. During this period, you will receive only Incoming Calls and
SMS.
4. If your Parent account holder transfers data, then you will be able to use data services as well
5. However, Outgoing Calls and Outgoing SMS will start only by midnight
