Training School SYLLABUS:

DAY 1
INTRODUCTION TO THE ENABLE
REPOSITORY AND RESEARCH
METHODOLOGY
During this day, the development and
final descriptors of the ENABLE
medication adherence technologies
(MATechs) repository will be introduced,
and some examples of technologies
presented. In the afternoon, research
methods to develop, implement and
evaluate MATechs in clinical practice will
be presented and discussed.
DAY 2
INTRODUCTION TO BEHAVIORAL
SCIENCE AND HEALTH IT RESEARCH
STANDARDS AND PATIENT
PERSPECTIVES
During this day, behavioral science tools
as well as Health IT research and
standards for effective MATechs will be
presented and discussed. In addition,
together with patients, we will explore
the patients’ perspectives and learn
more about (e)Health literacy and how to
consider it in the development of
inclusive technologies.
DAY 3
INTRODUCTION TO ECONOMIC AND
REGULATORY ASPECTS, WORKSHOP
WITH EXAMPLES
During this day, the economic evaluation,
regulatory aspects and reimbursement of
MATechs will be introduced. In the
afternoon, a workshop will be organized
together with participants to the
EuroDURG congress where ENABLE
Training School participants will be
invited to present real MATech examples
and the data generated by MATechs with
support from the trainers.

TAKE-HOME MESSAGES
Clearer ideas about the methodologies and standards for the development, validation and use of medication adherence technologies
(MATechs) in healthcare systems.

The training school will have lectures, work-in-group activities, debates, discussions with patients…

1. The selected applicants will be sent a formal COST invitation to the email they have provided and instructions for
reimbursement rules for the expenses regarding their participation.
2. Up to 40 selected participants will be reimbursed by the COST Action ENABLE CA 19132. Please refer to the COST Annotated
Rules Section 6.
Up to 10 more participants can participate for free, either online or on site, but will not be reimbursed. If this is your case,
please check the box “I don’t apply for reimbursement” in the COST invitation.
