Introduction to Project Management
Activity No. 1
Answer the following in essay format.

1. In your own idea, explain briefly the relationship of three major dimensions of a project
(time, Cost, and Scope).

In creating a project we have to always consider the three major dimensions of a

project which is the time, cost, and the scope. In my own perception based on
recent learning the past years, TIME isn’t necessarily refers to the amount of time
the team has to complete a project but rather it also about the allotted time
required in planning a project. We must set time limits in planning a project
because we can’t just circulate in planning how, when and where the project
must be in place, we have to execute the planned project so that there would be
a finish product. COST, in my understanding is that it refers to all of the
resources needs to be paid for the project goal to be completed, resources such
as manpower, machineries, if you were trying to build a company of course there
would be taxes needs to be paid for or other papers needed in a company, and
many more resources. SCOPE, I think it is about all that concerns in a project,
the planning, and the cost, and other requirements needed in order for the
project to become successful.

2. Imagine yourself being involved in a certain project that will affect the whole company,
what can you contribute as a BS in Office Administration graduate, and what will be the
impact it would give to your career as a young professional.

If I would be involved in a certain project that will affect the company, I will
contribute by sharing my insights, and my learnings. By doing so you will help
them assess what would be the possible outcome of the project because of the
potentials you possess since you were going to be a possible customer, for
instance you were a secretary of the marketing director who is in charge of
managing all aspects related to the production and implementation of the project.
And the project he’s working with is about a beauty product by means of it you
can approach the marketing director and tell him your insights and opinions
regarding the raw materials that would be needed in producing the product.
Since you were also a girl and you’re using cosmetics it is an advantage because
some of the population of the girls in town has the same skin type and also, since
your using it and of course before you use a certain product you also search of
the ingredients used in it by then you know if the possible customer will like it or
not. And maybe if the project become successful the marketing director would
notice your talents and skills.
