Analyze:
1. Yes, all the assessment tasks are aligned to the learning outcome of the subject being
taught.
2. Yes. If assessment tasks are not aligned to the learning outcome, it will surely affect
the assessment result since they are interrelated. Due to the lesson's lack of alignment
with the desired learning outcome, the impact of the assessment findings cannot be
quantified in terms of what the students learnt from it.
3. The assessment result serves as the basis whether the learning outcome is achieved
or not. Therefore, it is essential that the assessment task is aligned to it so that the
result will be a reliable basis of the learning outcome.
Reflect:
• Assessments occasionally do not match up with what the teacher taught or the learning
objectives, but this is rare. However, oftentimes, assessment tasks are in line with the
learning objectives/outcomes. I think instances like that arise because certain lessons
are quite broad, making it challenging for the teacher to link them with the learning
outcomes.
• A person's performance is significantly affected by assessments that are not aligned
with what the teacher have taught. It causes confusion to the learner and difficulty on
how to respond or accomplish the desired learning objective. As a result, being an
aspiring teacher, this observation allows me to make decisions about what I should do
in my class. I’ve learned that every assessment task needs to be aligned with the
learning outcome. And to ensure quality learning, I have to review the learning
objectives and outcomes before using any instructional materials.

Analyze:
1. Multiple-choice tests are a widespread form of assessment tool used by teachers
because they are more accurate and reliable in evaluating students’ learnings than the
more traditional essay-based tests. It is also time-efficient that students can answer it
in a short period of time. On the other hand, matching type is the rarely used
assessment tool because it does not generally measure the students’ knowledge.
2. Based on the table above, problem-solving and essay-non-restriction tests were the
most skilled test prepared by my resource teacher since the statements were clear,
pertinent, and well-written. These tests evaluated students' understanding and analysis
abilities. While the essay-restricted is the least skilled because I did not see that she
used this assessment method.
3. Yes, the paper and pencil test can be considered as an authentic assessment because
it uses innovative learning experiences to measure students' abilities and knowledge
in a real-world setting, even though it is a written evaluation.

Reflect:
I'm still learning how to construct traditional assessment tools as I am not skilled
at it yet. Making exams that require problem solving is challenging for me. It is crucial to
create since you need to have a really good design of the problem in order for the students
to grasp properly and provide the appropriate response.

Analyze:
1. As I observed on the product and performance rubric above, the rubrics that are usually
used was the holistic which evaluates students' work as a whole. It is the one that is
most frequently employed. It is easier to understand and simpler. It also acts as a guide
in creating a product or performance.
2. My resource instructor created and primarily used holistic grading rubrics, which have
three criterions. But she also goes through each of the rubrics individually while
describing the activity.
3. Yes, there are differences because rubrics serve as a guide for students on how to
make and create their products and performances as well as a guide for teachers in
scoring and grading the students' output and performances. Without rubrics, students
would be wondering on how the teachers will evaluate their performance and output.
4. If I were to change one scoring rubric used, I would make the holistic formulas better.
For each criterion, I will include a description. For instance, I'll describe the content for
each category in detail.
5. Yes, even if the evaluation consists of an essay or other written material, it is still
regarded as authentic because it allows the students to put what they have learned
from the prior session into practice. If the students truly get the lesson and use what
they have learned to accomplish the exercise or essay, it can still be used to assess
the students' abilities.
6. Yes, rubrics assist students in becoming self-directed and autonomous learners since
they serve as a guide for how they should complete a task or activity or what the
content of their work should be. Without a set rubric, the students may make an activity
or task that is inappropriate for the standard you desire, or they may become confused.
Does the scoring rubric in this FS Book 1 help you come up with better output?
➢ Yes, it helps to have better output because it guides you on how you will finish your
work and what should be the content of your work. Moreover, you will become
prepared and ready for the content and materials that are needed to your task or
activity.

Reflect:
No. From my experience as a student, I can say that it is not new because we are unable
to classify it as an authentic assessment, its definition states that it is a situation in which
students can use their learned skills and knowledge to complete the tasks.
