Abstractthe localization for wireless sensor network is one of the most key technologies. First, a Mobile-assisted localization (LA-GRID) is introduced in this paper. Then, the experiment for the scheme is proposed by means of LAs range defined by the threshold of RSSI value. The design and implementation of the experiment based on indoor environment are described in detail. The experiment result shows that the indoor localization precision is more than an order of magnitude lower compared with theoretical values. It is clear that the scheme is limited in indoor applications. Keywords- experimental test; grid localization; mobile-assisted; wireless sensor network
