 CHAPTER ONE:
PRODUCT CHOSEN

The lecturer has been giving a task to our group for mini project in MEC435. Our
group has chosen a portable vacuum cleaner as our product for this mini project. We
have been decided to modify and make a change for this product in order to create a
better product. A portable vacuum cleaner is a cleaning tools that can be moved
around. They can remove dirt, dust and other debris form the surface, upholstery and
carpet using vacuum suction. By sing more modern equipment, we can create one
tools with multifunction. It is making our job more efficient when we clean the house.
There are a few things that can be modify for portable vacuum cleaner. That is why
we choose a portable vacuum cleaner as our main product for this mini project.
 CHAPTER TWO
INTRODUCTION OF PRODUCT

In everyday life, the cleanliness aspect of the house is emphasized by every individual
in the community. Today, some individuals find that it is difficult for them to keep the house
clean. This is because, they are so busy in doing their daily routine that they don't have time
to clean the house. In addition, most of them also think that cleaning works take a long time
and use a lot of energy. For example, after finishing sweeping, they have to throw the
garbage that has been collected into the trash can which involves a lot of work.

Portable Vacuum are essential for daily living. It is made up of a number of tools
that are essential for cleaning that were developed and produced in a range of materials, sizes,
and mechanisms. Portable Vacuum is one of the cleaning supplies for the home. In addition
to using a lot of equipment, garbage disposal also needs to be done correctly so that it does
not contaminate the area being cleaned. Therefore, with the creation of this project, cleaning
work will be easier to do than before. Since the dawn of time, people have used mops,
brooms, and floor wipers as cleaning equipment. In order to clean fast, effectively, and
efficiently, cleaning tools are a wide range of exact and particular things that are created and
built in a variety of colours, materials, mechanisms, shapes, sizes, and styles. Cleaning
supplies are necessary, especially if cleaning is part of your employment.

Portable Vacuum it serves various purposes, it can be employed in a variety of

cleaning situations. It can be used to mop up dust, clean floors, and other surfaces, soak up
liquid, and for a variety of other cleaning tasks. Because of its many uses, a portable vacuum
can help shorten the cleaning process. People used to take their time switching between tools
when utilising other products. There are many different types of portable vacuum available
on the market, each with a different size, movement mechanism, and technology. The goal of
this project is to design an equipment with multiple functions and ergonomic for a portable
vacuum.

 CHAPTER THREE
REASON FOR CHOOSING THE SPECIFIED PRODUCT

The primary reason for choosing the specified product is to accelerate any cleaning
process by minimizing the amount of cleaning equipment required to complete a cleaning
operation. A regular cleaning process could require up to two or three cleaning tools to finish.
The longer the procedure, the more effort and time are necessary to finish the job. Analysis of
the product design idea has been done. The product is modified and improved to increase the
tool's cleaning capacity and effectiveness.

Portable vacuums' major benefit is that they are excellent for rapid cleaning tasks.
These vacuums are great if you need to remove minor stains from various surfaces in your
home. These difficult tasks are best handled by portable vacuums. Therefore, a portable
vacuum is an answer if you're searching for a convenient vacuum for your pets, a vacuum for
your car, or just a little vacuum for short daily cleaning. Additionally excellent for cleaning
the inside of trucks, trailers, and motorcyclists are the portable vacuum.

Cleaning up hazardous stairs or high spots might be slightly safer when using a
portable vacuum. Cleaning up a few things around the house may be greatly helped with a
portable vacuum cleaner. Portable vacuum cleaners assist with these issues because a normal
vacuum cleaner can't get into some narrow spaces and places with a lot of volumes. It is a
portable item of equipment that is more adaptable, practical, and useful and can clean a
bigger area, including areas that are inaccessible to regular cleaners.

 CHAPTER FIVE MODIFICATION

Vacuum cleaner had been chosen to be improvised and innovated for this
project. The main goal of designing this product is to add more features in this product
such as mop, and wiper.

The features that have been chosen is wiper and mop which is all this product
has its own function. Mop is a mass or bundle of coarse strings or yarn, or a piece of
cloth, sponge, or other absorbent material, it is used to soak up liquid, for cleaning
floors and other surfaces, to mop up dust, or for other cleaning purposes. Next, wiper
is use to redirect puddle or small amount of water to another place. Wiper has a long
rubber blade that attached to it and can easily move amount of water to another place.
There are a lot of cleaning tools which can be found in market these days but there are
only a few cleaning tools with function. For nowadays, it is better to design and
manufacture a tool which have multiple functions in one tool because it will make
user’s work a lot of easier and makes cleaning process easier.

This product will give user more benefit because this product was designed to
give user a better experience than other product. This product also has multiple
function which is wiper and mop that has been attached as one product. This product
also will reduce the use of working energy, reduce consumer spending and shorten
cleaning process.
