“Let us forgive each other - only then will we live in peace” by Leo
Tolstoy, when I read this quote I remember the days that I suffered from
depression. This is the time when the pandemic hits our country, all countries,
cities are lockdown and we are not allowed to go outside. I was just inside the
house, I couldn't get out but I thought that would make me sad but it didn't.
There were things I learned that hurt my feelings, I was overwhelmed with
grief because of the sins I knew. It is heavy on the chest, it's like you're being
run over by a heavy rock and you're slowly unable to breathe. It's hard to
forgive people who have hurt you and affected you emotionally. Sometimes
you just don't want to wake up because you just remember the things that
make your feelings heavy. It's better to sleep because you know when you
sleep, you can forget the things that hurt you, but I'm wrong. I dream even
more about the bad things that happened to me. So far I have learned to
forgive and move myself forward. I prefer to have peace of mind and take a
deep breath whenever I go back to the days when I was furious. I had peace
of mind, I was able to forgive but the things that happened to me could not be
erased from my mind.
