ENGLISH GRADE 10

I. OBJECTIVE
1. Content Standards
The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literatures and other text
types serve as vehicles of expressing and resolving conflicts among individuals or
groups; also how to use strategies in critical reading, listening, and viewing, and
affirmation and negation markers to deliver impromptu and extemporaneous
speeches.

2. Performance Standards:
The learner proficiently delivers an argumentative speech emphasizing how to
resolve conflicts among individuals or groups.

3. Learning Competency:
Use information from news reports, speeches, informative talks, panel
discussions, etc. in everyday life EN10LC-Ia-11.1

4. Specified Objective:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

KRA 1. OBJECTIVE 5 INDICATOR 4: Established safe and secure learning environments


to enhance learning through the consistent implementation of policies, guidelines and
procedures.

The teacher presented rules in the classroom before the start of the class that will
surely help to keep the students and the room under control. Policies are important because
they help the school establish rules and procedures and create standards of quality for learning
and safety, as well.
Before we get started, I would like you to inform for the following reminders.

1. For those students with low vision, please inform your teacher to rearrange your seating
arrangement.

2. For those students with hearing impairment, ask for your teacher to sit closer to the front of
the class to hear more clearly.

3. Make sure that you are in your most convenient learning spot.

4. Remember also to maintain your safety even at home, always wash your hands with soap
and water. Always stay safe.”

5. Get yourself ready! And grab your English 10 notebook, and your pen.

6. Keep any unnecessary things away from you and direct your attention to our class.

MNHS virtual presser boosts


stakeholders’ morale amidst pandemic

With the aim of making stakeholders
aware of the preparations Muzon
National High School is
undergoing for the learners of the
school year 2020-2021, a virtual
presser was presented, Monday,
September 7, via Facebook live. The
event was spearheaded by Dr.
Rolando Sotelo and Ms. Belen
Avaceña, School Officer in Charge,
along with the department heads,
coordinators and team leaders of
the different task force involved in the
school administration.
“We are a TEAM, not just because we
work together. We are a team because
we respect, trust
and care for each other. That’s the
spirit we have in presenting
“Handang Isip, Handa Bukas
MNHS
Virtual Presser”, School OIC Ms.
Belen Avaceña defined her concept of
BAYANIHAN spirit, in this jump
start activity for the school year which
is opening in October 5.
Some of the preparations that the
school has been focusing on include
orientation of teachers,
parents and learners on the different
learning modalities; writing,
evaluation and printing of modules
and
self learning kits; simulation of online
and modular classes; procurement and
installation of television in
classrooms; and securing of internet
connection. Considering the physical
safety of everyone, the
school also has been compliant to
IATF protocols.
“This school level virtual presser, a 20
minute video presentation, will prove
and assure parents
that despite the pandemic, a well
planned delivery of learning will be
experienced by the students of
MNHS”, Ms. Arianz Lindsey
Maglonzo, the talent behind the
presentation and Ms. Lea P.
Abulencia,
Filipino Department Head who
collated all the accomplishment
reports, both expressed optimism over
their efforts.
Positive feedbacks from parents
were also cited. “Mahalaga sa akin
ang edukasyon ng aking
mga apo. Nakakahinga ako ng
maluwag ngayong alam ko na, na
handa ang paaralan kung saan sila
nagaaral.” Mrs. Minda, a
grandmother of a grade 10 student,
who happened to have watched the
