2. Science and technology play an important part in the country's growth by developing and establishing

our government provide science resources in every school because this is the reason why students do not
enjoy and pursue careers in science.

If I had the opportunity to speak with the President of my university about parts of science education, I
would advise that they change the way they teach, such as teaching with the content. To have effective
scientific education, we need modern or learning resources if the class requires materials such as explaining
bodily components. Instead of using photos in PowerPoint presentations, books, or modules, we should
supply products or items that allow students to readily grasp the lesson. My suggestion assists children in
learning to appreciate and pursue science in an effective and simple manner.

ACTIBITY 8

The Balik Scientist Program seeks scientists and technologists to help our country's migration overseas. 
This initiative seeks to sustain and improve the program's appeal to Filipino scientists working and residing 
overseas. 
The Balik Scientist Program encourages Filipino scientists, technologists, and experts to return to the Philipp
ines and share their expertise for the country's technological, agroindustrial, and economic growth, including 
the development of human resources in science, technology, and innovation.

B. Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) The Small and Medium Enterpr
ise Technology Upgrading Program, also known as SETUP, contributed to nation-building by encouraging a
nd assisting small and medium-sized enterprises in adopting technological innovations to improve their oper
ations, thereby increasing productivity and competitiveness. 
The initiative assists enterprises in overcoming technological problems by interventions in technology transf
er and development.

C. The Grants-in-Aid contribute to nation-building by leveraging the country's scientific and technical capac
ities to promote long-term economic growth and development. This program is organized around funding-
related science and technology endeavors that benefit Filipino productivity and medical quality.

D. Project NOAH helps to create nations by studying, developing, and extending services on natural hazards
, disaster risk management, and climate change initiatives. 
The program incorporated the Department of Science and Technology's catastrophe prevention and mitigatio
n program (DOST). 
This project is intended to use science and technology to generate reliable data and to meet the conditions re
quired by national government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and the academy to make informed dec
isions on disaster risk management activities. Project NOAH aims to achieve its vision of disaster-free and e
mpowered communities by providing direct access to accurate, dependable, and timely hazard and risk infor
mation that has been updated and enhanced using science and technology.

E. Space Program of the Philippines

The integration and centralization of space research and development in the Philippines contributes to
nation-building. Space program development is critical for national security, agricultural development,
environmental management, and climate change mitigation. The program's goal is to create technology like
unmanned aerial vehicles, microsatellites, and communication satellites.

Indigenous science is the culmination of indigenous knowledge perfected through life experiences, such as
the understanding of employing spoken remedies, predicting the weather, conserving foods, naming, and
agriculture. While indigenous technology is the process or product of researching indigenous science, it
includes ethnomedicine, yoyo, medical incubator, patis or fish sauce, bananO catsup, anticancer cream, and
microchip.

Indigenous science's contribution to the advancement of science and technology in the Philippines aided
individuals in coping with daily life and understanding their natural surroundings. Indigenous science is
crucial in the growth of science and technology in the Philippines since it educates us in science and
produces modern technologies in the Philippines. Science and technology development in the Philippines
has already begun. Numerous significant breakthroughs and discoveries improve the lives of Filipinos while
also contributing to the country's advancement.

1. According to my understanding of the article "Forget' developing' poor countries, it's time to develop' rich 
countries'" by Jason Hickel, the article stated that the development of rich nations might strengthen and supp
ort the confidence of poor undeveloped countries, which will aid their economies in reducing the percentage 
of their population living in poverty. 
To eradicate destitute nations, we must come together and help affluent nations so that they can grow and im
prove poor nations. 
To assist the poorest nations, we must advance and empower the wealthiest nations so that they can flourish 
and create alongside the remainder of the world.

2. Indeed, developing affluent countries are necessary for enabling and supporting impoverished economies.
Wealthy countries' progress will contribute to global economic stability and the preservation of life on Earth.

For me, the most rewarding and valuable experience and part of my life in recent years has been spending ti
me with my mother till the final time we saw each other. 
My mother had a big influence on my life. 
My mother is a hero to me. 
Life on Earth is so unexpected, but I am grateful that I have a mother like my mother until the last time we s
aw each other in person, and I am grateful that she is in Saudii now to achieve my dream and to strive even h
arder. 
I'm sad that my mother has to work without us, yet this kind of event makes my sadness turn to delight. 
Yet I can communicate via my phone. I can communicate with her and talk to her whenever I want. Science
and technology played an important role in this sad and joyous event.
