I am writing this letter to express my interest in volunteering for an internship role at the DART Office. I believe
that the skillset and experience outlined in my enclosed CV, together with my inclination in intelligent transport
systems and integrated fleet deployment technologies makes me a suitable candidate for the role, and even more
importantly I am certain that it would be a great opportunity for me to improve professionally in a field I have an
undeterred interest in.
I am motivated and actively engaged in data driven, cloud mobility solutions development particularly in mass
public transport systems for urban demographics with a specific focus in bus transit mode with related fleet
deployment, user experience, and integrated intelligent transport system technologies. An opportunity to intern at
DART would give me a chance to work, train and improve myself on a field I am passionately inclined to but
also play a positive role in being a part of a team that mobilizes resources and technology innovations for a
sustainable transport solutions and urban demographics for the economic growth, diversification and development
of the city of Dar es Salaam and the Country at large.
As a graduate Automobile engineer holding a 4.0 GPA from the National Institute of Transport, I have studied,
completed and trained on a great deal of coursework on various Transport Engineering technologies and with a
strategic focusing on the Fleet Transport Management Information System and Operations, Sustainable Energy
Resources, Engineering Safety and Quality Assurance Standards, as well as Auto-electric and electronic vehicle
management systems where I have acquired various skills on fleet operations and management, inspection
standards and protocols, as well as electronic vehicle testing and diagnosis.
Furthermore, as an intern at the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) – Imports inspection department as an
inspection officer/vehicle inspector as well as an Auto-electrician in Vigu Trading Co Ltd, I have attained a
profound experience on various imports inspection procedures including vehicle inspection and testing
procedures, database management systems, together with Vehicle fleet operations procedures which leverages
my experience further as an even suitably inclined candidate for a volunteering opportunity.
