MAJOR CONCEPT TO BE LEARNED

Drawing is considered to be a universal language.

Drafting is a technical drawing used by designers to graphically present ideas and represent objects
necessary for a designed environment.

1. GUIDE LINES AND CONSTRUCTION LINES

• These lines are temporary and used to lay out the page, create the initial shapes, and
provide a guide for lettering heights.
• The line weight is very light.
Construction lines - for the primary drawings
Guide lines - used for lettering and labels

2. OBJECT LINE
• The line used to draw the primary object.
• Line weight is heavy.
