INTRODUCTION

Job specification help hiring managers decide which qualities


and requirements are most important in a candidate.

When reading these job specifications, a candidate can decide


whether they have the right experience, education and
characteristics to apply for a specific job.

According to Edwin B. Flippo – “ A job specification is


a statement of minimum acceptable human qualities
necessary to perform a job properly”.

➢ Personality traits – Adaptability, good communication skills, self motivated,
positive attitude, time management
➢ Aptitude&skills – Problem solving skills, analytical thinking, Ability to learn quickly,
attention to detail, proficiency in software, team work and collaboration skills.
➢ Contra indicators – excessive workload, lack of benefits, unreasonable hours,
