Introduction
The customized Au SAE J1939 simulator for the Bendix ABS ECU (part# SIMJ1939-015) is a standalone,
palm-size device capable of generating SAE J1939 signals dedicated for the Bendix ABS ECU. The device
can be connected to J1939 network and +12V power supply via the 9-pin DB9 male “BUS” connector.
The Bendix ABS is widely used in today’s on-highway trucks/vehicles. To test full functions of the Bendix
ABS without error codes, the same J1939 data as what present on a truck must be fed into the Bendix
ABS ECU. The customized Au SAE-J1939 simulator (SIMJ1939-015) is designed to generate all of these
required J1939 signals without the present of these expensive vehicle controllers. This device is custom
designed for regular Bendix ABS ECU and special configured Bendix ABS ECU, such as: Hill Start Aid
Configured ABS systems, Volvo configured ABS systems, special EAC prototype configured ABS systems,
etc. Optional customized VIN number feature can also be ordered for Advanced ABS6 system.

This is a 4-wire color coded cable. One end is DB9 female connector, it is designed to mate with Au J1939

One end of the CAN / J1939 cable is a DB9 female connector, which can supply power, ground, CAN_H
The other end of the cable includes a Deutsch connector (HD10 9-way rounded Receptacle with Flange)
and a Power Supply Jacket (2.1 mm Positive center). The 9 way Deutsch connector is the same connector
as the ones used on heavy duty trucks.
Au part number "PWR-912V-CP" (not included, order separately) can be used to supply +12V power
(500mA minimum) via 2.1mm power jacket.
This cable supplies "power and ground" connection, together with "CAN_H and CAN_L" connection to any
device attached.
This cable is highly recommended to be used together with Au J1939 simulator (not included, order
separately), which will create not only identical J1939 signal but also identical mechanical interface as
provided on typical trucks/Recreation Vehicles/Buses.
Note: All order for this cable after April 1, 2010 will be shipped with upgraded "CBL-CAN-485-02". The

CBL-CAN-03: This CAN Cable equipped with a DB9 Female Connector on one end and a 9-way Round
Threaded Plug (Deutsch part #: HD16-9-1939S) on the other end.
The 9 pin Deutsch connector side can be connected to any vehicles (e.g. trucks and school buses)
equipped with 9 pin diagnostic connectors. Power, Ground, CAN_H and CAN_L are connected from / to

One end of the cable consists of a 9 pin Deutsch connector: HD16-9-1939S, it can mate with Truck’s
on-board 9 pin diagnostic connector. The other end of the cable consists of a 9-wire pigtail, which can
connect device(s) to Truck’s Power supply, J1939, J1708 and proprietary CAN communication buses, etc.

Au SAE J1939 9-pin Deutsch Y-Cable provides a solid pigtail connection from truck’s 9 pin Deutsch
diagnostic connector. It also provides a replacement diagnostic connector (9 pin Deutsch " HD10-9-1939P
") for Truck Diagnostic purpose.
The HD16-9-1939S connector can mate with Truck’s on-board 9 pin diagnostic connector. The

J1939 9-pin diagnostic connector to CAN in Automation (CiA) DS-102 devices. It equipped with a DB9
female connector on one end and a 9-way round connector on the other end.
