opinions, and information that you consider relevant and summarize the information. Write down
the sources of information you used.
 What is globalization? Globalization is a term used to describe the increasing
connectedness and interdependence of world cultures and economies. (Geographic, 2022)
 Globalization’s fact
Globalization in Mexico has had indisputably positive effects on the national economy.
In the 1980’s and 1990’s, Mexico loosened its trade restrictions, greatly reduced tariffs,
and signed the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with the United States
and Canada. These actions contributed to the tripling of Mexico’s GDP between 1980
and 1992. The Mexican government has been, for the most part, supportive of trade
expansion and development within the country. (Magazine, 2013)
 Globalization’s opinion
On average globally, only 48% agree that globalization is a good thing for their country.
Positive views of globalization are down in every country (most of all in Latin America)
by an average of 10 points since 2019, pre-COVID and vary widely across countries
(from 72% in Malaysia to 27% in France). (Changers, 2021)
 Globalization important information
Information technology facilitates the effortless exchange of information across borders,
as well as the expansion of resources from countries across the world. This expansion
leads to new ideas and products, as well as new ways of doing business. (Lawlor, 2008)
