Answer:

1. It is important to follow proper swine management practices is to prevent the infectious

diseases in pigs is important for both animal welfare and economic productivity.
Management practices is also important because it is working methods that must’ve
follow for food safety and public health when zoonotic pathogens are concerned.

2. Proper feeding is important in swine farming because it will prevent feed wastage or
restricted growth. Proper design and adjustment of self-feeder will help to improve the
nutritional needs of pigs.

3. The most common issues you may encounter when raising swine in your backyard or on
a commercial one are inadequate slaughter facilities, unorganized marketing, inadequate
supply of breeding stock, high price of feeds, as well as, low quality feeds.

4. No, the farmers income from raising swine is not substantial because of the high price of
feeds and the ASF pandemic they encountered lately. Others they go in formulation of a
local feeds like kangkong, Palawan to prevent high cost of the commercial feeds.
