A plane crash Wednesday killed at least 43 people including all but one of players and coaches of the KHL

team Yaroslavl Lokomotiv.

Pavol Demitra, forward

Born Nov. 29, 1974 in Dubnica, Slovakia. Ottawa draft pick played 847 NHL games for Senators, St. Louis Blues, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks. Scored 304 goals and 768 points. Won the Lady Byng Trophy in 19992000. Scored 30-plus goals three times with the Blues and was a threetime NHL all-star. Represented former Czechoslovakia at 1993 world juniors (bronze) and Slovakia at three Olympics and six world championships. Left Vancouver for KHL in 2010. Second season with Yaroslavl Lokomotiv.

Born Nov. 2, 1974, Minsk, Belarus. Anaheims rst pick (ninth overall) in 1996 draft played 917 NHL games for the Mighty Ducks, Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings. Scored 45 goals and 204 points. Played 75 games for Detroit last season. First season with Lokomotiv Played in the 2003 Stanley Cup nal with Anaheim, who lost in Game 7 to N.J. Represented Belarus at three Olympics and nine world championships.

Boston Bruins rst rounder (15th overall) in 1979 NHL draft played 1,222 games with the Bruins, Philadelphia, Calgary, Detroit, Hartford and Phoenix. Won a Stanley Cup with the Flames in 1989. Played for Canada at two world junior tournaments (1978-79). Started coaching career in 1997 as a New York Islanders assistant. Served in that capacity with Calgary (2001-03), Atlanta (2003-08) and the Red Wings (2008-11). Also coached the Western Hockey Leagues Saskatoon Blades (1998-2000). IGOR KOROLEV, coach
Born Sept. 6, 1970 in Moscow, Russia St. Louis second rounder played 795 NHL games with the Blues, Winnipeg, Toronto, Phoenix and Chicago. Forward scored 119 goals and 346 points. Last played in NHL in 2003-04 with Chicago. Played in Russia from 2004-10, retiring with Lokomotiv. Assistant coach with the KHL club.

Born July 9, 1974, Riga, Latvia Nashville draft pick played 832 NHL games for the Predators, Colorado, Florida and Dallas. Defenceman scored 32 goals and 136 points. First season in KHL after playing 74 games with the Dallas Stars last season. Played all 82 games in ve-year span with Nashville and Colorado (2000-06). Played for Latvia in three Olympics and seven world A championship

Part of golden Czech world championship team in 2010 and a bronze in 2011 at Bratislava.
