It will be a pleasure for me to write the letter of recommendation for Mr.

Rajath, whom
you are considering for a PhD position in your renowned organization. I know Mr. Rajath
for two years. He has a flare for learning and accomplishing as well as aspires to do
well in the field of science and has set high goals for himself.
He has a consistently good academic record and is very knowledgeable. He readily
surpassed my expectations. He has cleared the All India CSIR-UGC National Eligibility
Test for Junior Research fellow with an all India rank of 87. This feat was achieved
even when he was in the first year of MSc. Clearing this test is essential for him to do a
PhD in any leading institute in India with a full fellowship. Further, he has cleared the All
India GATE examination with an all India Rank of 144. A rank of this level will ensure a
sure seat in any of the top notch institutions in India for a PhD.
I found him to be enthusiastic, logical, hardworking and sincere student with enormous
determination to accomplish. He maintains his lab books very well, record and design
experiments as well as presents his data well in the lab meetings. He also actively takes
part in discussions and asks genuine questions, which I felt this trait was very
encouraging as he has a need to understand. He also gets along with his colleagues
well and takes care to meet time schedules. He is very polite and has very good English
language skills. I found him to be quite independent and capable of carrying out work
with minimum training.
He has good command over mammalian cell culture, basic molecular biology
techniques, bioinformatic tools like cytoscape and pathway analysis, transcriptomic
analysis, FACS and Q-PCR. He is well versed also with yeast and microbiology
techniques. He also reads a lot and come up with genuine ideas.
