FADE IN:

EXT. A CITY STREET - DAY

We see a woman, LUCY, walking down a busy city street. She looks frazzled and
stressed. Suddenly, she trips on the pavement and falls hard. As she struggles to
get up, a man, JAMES, rushes over to help her.

JAMES
Are you okay?

LUCY
(wincing in pain)
I think I twisted my ankle.

JAMES
Let me help you up. Do you need to go to the hospital?

LUCY
(surprised by his kindness)
No, I think I just need to rest for a moment.

JAMES helps LUCY to a nearby bench, where she sits down and takes a deep breath.

LUCY
Thank you so much. You didn't have to do that.

JAMES
(smiling)
It's no problem. It's what I'm called to do.

LUCY
(curious)
What do you mean?

JAMES
I'm a pastor. I believe it's my duty to show kindness and compassion to everyone I
meet, no matter who they are or what they've done.

LUCY
(amazed)
That's a beautiful way to live.

JAMES
(nodding)
It's all by the grace of God. I was lost and broken once, but God showed me love
and forgiveness, and now I try to share that with others.

LUCY
(thoughtful)
I've never really thought about God or grace before.

JAMES
(smiling)
Maybe this was a sign that He's trying to get your attention.

LUCY looks up at JAMES, feeling a sense of peace and hope she hasn't felt in a long
time.

LUCY
(smiling)
Maybe it was.

FADE OUT.
