Answer: Worlducation is a social startup that manufactures tablet computers for primary school
students. Our focus is on the hardware and creating software, content, and activities to engage better
and educate primary school students. Worlducation aims to change the way children learn at school by
implementing artificial intelligence technology that can follow up on each child’s progress and adjust to

their needs as they know, creating the optimal path learning experience. As one of the Worlducation
employees, the purpose of my job is to encourage the usage of tablet computers for class so we can
donate and train a classroom somewhere around the world that cannot afford the technology.

The issue comes from delayed shipping; of 2000 tablets that must be shipped, only 500 were
completed on schedule due to the factory’s closure by COVID-19 and rising tension between China and
Hong Kong. The manufacturing team in Hong Kong notes the order specifications and delivery details
and incorporates this within its production schedule. The order is manufactured, and the operations
team arranges freight and shipping directly to the customer. As the stakeholder, this company has a
government, supplier, employee, and distributor. The tension between China and Hongkong and
COVID-19 pandemic decided to lessen the shipment due to closure factory and lessen profit due to
disruption to the manufacturing process and the associated solutions implemented by management. In
2019, Worlducation generated a revenue of $35 million, a net profit of $7 million, and a net cash flow
of $4 million. They budgeted $45 million for 2020, net profit of $9 million, and net cash flow of $5
million. However, following the unprecedented growth in demand and disruptions to the supply chain,
management now projects 2020 revenue will amount to $55 million, net profit of $5 million, and net
cash flow of negative $3 million. The decrease in profit resulted from the disruption to the
manufacturing process and the associated solutions implemented by management. As the solution,
the company desired to stabilize the income and the profit gained from the manufacturing and
shipping and donates to the place somewhere else that did not own advanced technology. As for the
risk, the company will have optional risk, compliance risk, and financial risk as they will facing funds
problems due to moving their service, and have the potential to have the strategic chance as well since
they will have to maintain their outdated equipment which will be hard to be fixed due to several
lockdowns to much machine service because of COVID-19.

We can write down the legislation needed for this company by the type of the business is a
competition and consumer act 2010, Australian Consumer Law, Electrical Equipment safety standards,
product safety standards, and Australia Competition and Consumer Commission guides.
