The Republic Act. 7077, also known as citizen armed forces of the Philippines Reservist Act, is the act
that institutionalized the ROTC Program. It has its own important feature wherein citizens are required
to render military service. It is an act providing for the development , administration, organization,
training, maintenance and utilization of the armed forces of the Philippines. This republic Act also
Mandates the creation of the Reserve Commands in all major levels of the armed forces namely
ARESCOM, AFRESCOM, NAVRECOM, AFPRESCOM, AFPARU.
This act which institutionalized the ROTC program has various components which aims to enhance the
youths active contribution to the general welfare through training them how to lead, shoot, navigate,
communicate and move. These will surely enhance the youths skills, showcase their capabilities,
confidence, bravery and selflessness in serving our country. Situations such as war, invasion or rebellion,
disasters and calamities are when the youths learnings in terms of knowledge and skills are in need the
most.
