Knowledge is the key to success in every field of life. It was the process of seeking
knowledge spans from the cradle to the grave. Education is our dignity and weapon in life.
Across the universe, education has always been the foremost medium for human learning.
School is a student’s second home that runs by a teachers as a student’s second parent as they are
one who will teach a student about education, responsible for the learning of a student as well as
imposing discipline. Teachers play a great role and act as an instrument in improving learner’s
intellectual capacity, perception in life and guide them to be the better learners and to become
excellent employee or professional in the future.

After two years of modular and online learning due to the pandemic and now it’s time to
go back to the normal learning the face to face learning, where students is excited to enter the
campus and have their own classrooms, adviser, and finally meet their respective teachers. But it
seems to be sad because their excitement for the face to face learning has been replaced by fear.
Why? Because of the unwanted behavior of their teachers not all but some, that they have been
hurt by their teachers just because they don’t know how to answer their activity or can’t follow
the formula for the activity and etc.

When I read and watched those complains of some of the students specially parents
regarding on some of their teachers misbehavior, I really felt pity and disappointed. Because first
of all, before the class opening, the biological parents of the learners trust the teachers that they
can handle and provide right conduct to their children. A teacher must be the one to help the
student to achieve their potential in learning and act accordingly not to hurt them, but what
happen to some our teachers now. Yes a teacher has the responsibility to teach and discipline the
student but it’s not their responsibility to hurt or ever lay their hand on their student, they should
know their limitations. They should responsible for their words and actions, teacher is
responsible to teach not to discriminate students or utter some unnecessary word against the
student. How can a student get motivated to attend their class if they are afraid to their teacher,
afraid of being embarrassed, hurt and being told bad words? How can they achieve their dreams
if the tools or the model that can help them, giving them the guidance and motivation is not
performing accordingly? In our country there is the said Code of Ethics for Professional
Teachers. It states in eleven articles on what are the dos and don’ts, their responsibilities and
limitations. Also stated in the articles that the disciplinary actions for the violation of the code of
ethics and its effectivity.

Students learn in different ways according to their interest to the learning situation and of
course according on how teachers approach them. Teachers positive behavior motivates the
learners to learn, attend their classes, to do their activities and participate in the class. Not all
student have that high IQ or fast learners some of them need more explanations and patience
from their teacher.
