B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson What do you usually do after reading a story that you like or
dislike? Do you answer the questions asked? Do you talk
about it with friends? Do you ask them to read it, too? If your
answers are yes, then you are a reader who knows how to
evaluate the stories you read. This is the first step to
becoming a critical reader. In order for you to fully
understand and appreciate a story, you must learn how to
evaluate its elements.
