Introduction

The research would like to determine about the relationship of hours spent per week
studying Mathematics at home to the test results of Students in Grade 10 Kalubihon
High School S.Y. 2022-2023. Researchers are to identify how does studying at home
impact the scores of students scores using their own understanding of the context and
formula on Mathematics. Home-work or self studies can be more fun and at the same
time challenging since you would only rely on your own research and understanding
about the lesson. It could also helps that students can maximize the use of technology
to get more clarity on formulas and to better understand Mathematics at home through
the usage of online platforms such as YouTube, tiktok or facebook or even textbooks on
hand learning Mathematics.

The Grade 10 students of Kalubihon High School are the participants of the study to
identify if the hours they spent at home studying Mathematics would make them be
more advanced to the lesson and get good scores on exams or quizzes.

A significant aspect in achieving excellent test results is studying in specialized

locations. According to the study, there is a strong correlation between studying in quiet
locations like libraries or churches and performing well on exams. Today, standardized
testing is the cornerstone of educational policy at the state and federal levels. Over the
past ten years, test results have evolved into the major tool used to assess the efficacy
of schools and educational programs. Significant expenditures have been made in
educational technology and the infrastructure needed to facilitate its use throughout the
same time period. State and district level organizations have spent more than $10 billion
on the acquisition and integration of computer-based technologies into American
schools since 2009.

Due to the large population base nowadays, people have become more competitive
since their student years when they apply for a higher-level school or better work.
According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers' survey of more than
200 employers, 67% of businesses claimed to filter applicants based on GPA (Davies &
Hammack, 2005), which may be an indication of the significance of academic
accomplishment for potential future careers. Students need to put in a lot of work in
addition to using the necessary abilities to succeed. The use of strategies requires
effort, which in turn leads to better academic success (Meltzer, 2001). Students'
participation in school can serve as a reflection of their effort, and levels of participation
can be measured from the amount of time spent on academics (Ed, 1992).
