This document provides instructions for answering two out of four questions in 200-300 words each for a total response between 400-600 words. It specifies that answers should discuss both a theoretical part and empirical example for each question. References should be included using Harvard style and a bibliography at the end, but references do not count toward the word limit. The deadline is 1 pm and submitting early is recommended in case of internet issues. Students should choose their questions, write the full question followed by the answer, and include the word count for each answer below it.

Please provide a short answer to two out of the four questions.
Each question consists of two parts: a theoretical discussion and a short
reflection on an empirical example. Your answer should cover both parts of the question. Each answer should be 200-300 words. Your total word count should be between 4W•600 words. Answers should use Harvard Referencing with a bibliography at the very end of the document. Referencing (both in-text and bibliographical) does not count towards the word-count. The deadline is at 1 pm. I recommend submitting an hour before the deadline in case you have issues with your internet - you then have time to resolve this issue. Additional Guidance: Every question asks you either about a specific phenomenon or for you to choose a phenomenon. The recommended place to start looking is in the sociology textbook by Giddens and Sutton. They have entire chapters on different sociological phenomena you could consider. Marking is anonymous - do not put your name on the paper or in the file name. Write your chosen questions and your answers in a word document which you can then upload to MyDundee. It is recommended that you put the full question in the document, then write your whole answer below. Write the word count of each question underneath the answer. Do not count in-text citations or the question towards your word count. You should have a bibliography at the end of the document using Harvard Referencing. This also does not count towards your word count.
