1. The following data represent the price (in cents) of 100 grams of red chilies in the local
market for 24 consecutive days.

a) Develop a frequency distribution, relative frequency distribution and cumulative
frequency distribution.
b) Draw a frequency histogram for the frequency distribution in (a).

2. Data on age of heart patients in one hospital is recorded as below,

a) Build a frequency table using the given data.
b) Build a frequency polygon for the distribution table in (a).

3. Sally recorded the musical instrument played by each of 30 students in the school
orchestra. The table shows the results.

Draw an accurate pie chart to show the information shown in the table.

4. A survey has been undertaken to determine if there is a relationship between the place
of residence and ownership of foreign-made cars. A random sample of car owners was
selected and the following results were obtained.

a) Examine the number of car owner who own a foreign car.


b) Examine the number of car owner who do not own a foreign car and live in the city
residence.
c) Examine the number of car owner who live in the rural residence.
d) Examine the number of car owner who involved in the study.

5. 48 children were asked to name their favourite flavour of ice cream. The pie chart shows
some information about their answer.












Using the pie chart, compute the number of the children for each flavour of ice cream.
