1. That petitioner herein Bea Alonzo and husband John Lloyd Cruz, an
American Citizen, was legally and validly married on 24 June 2011 in
Baclayon Church in Bohol.

3. That the Matrimonial Causes Ordinance of Hong Kong, entitles the Hong
Kong Court with jurisdiction in divorce cases. That a divorce decree was
thereafter issued by the Hong Kong Court, within its jurisdiction, dissolving
the marriage between petitioner and John Lloyd Cruz capacitating the latter
to remarry. Said divorce decree became final on 22 August of the same
year. A certified true copy of said divorce decree is hereinafter attached as
ANNEX “A.”
4. That the Hong Kong court had jurisdiction over the subject matter and
persons of the divorce proceedings; that there was no violation of due
process; that there was no collusion, fraud or mistake of law or fact in the
proceedings leading to the issuance of the decree of divorce.

I, Bea Alonzo, after having been duly sworn in accordance with law deposes and
say that:
1. That I am the petitioner in the case entitled “IN RE: Petition for Recognition of the
Hong Kong Divorce Decree Dissolving the Marriage Between Bea Alonzo and
John Lloyd Cruz.”
2. That I caused the preparation and filing of the foregoing Petition for Recognition
of Foreign Divorce Decree;
3. That all the allegations therein stated are true and correct to the best of my
knowledge and information;
4. That I did not commence any other action or proceeding involving the same issues
to any court; That if I shall learn thereafter that a similar action or proceeding has
been filed or is pending before any court, I undertake to report that fact within five
(5) days to this Court.
