CONTENT STANDARD 1.1 Number value

LEARNING STANDARD 1.1.1 State numbers up to 100 000:

(i) Read any number given in words.
(ii) Say any number given in numerals.
(iii) Write numbers in numerals and words.
OBJECTIVES a) By the end of the lesson all pupils able to:
Read, say, and write any numbers up to 100 000 in numerals and words
correctly.

LEARNING OUTLINES Pre-Lesson:

Pupils read the number given in power point slide. Guide the pupils to write
the given number in words correctly.

Lesson Development:
1.Carry out activities on saying/ reading numbers using number cards
(pptx). Emphasise the correct way to say the numbers.
2.Pupils randomly read and say the given number correctly.
3.Pupils write given numbers in numerals and words with teacher’s
guidance.
4. Pupils read and say given number; write the number in word and
numerals (Group work).
5. Do discussion and justify the correct answers.
6.Pupils do the exercise given in slide.

Post Lesson:
Pupils review today’s lesson based on teacher questions.
