Sarah

Ms. Dahl
Pizzaiolo
10/17/22

Brown sand and the rough wind were brutally attacking my eyes as I struggled to walk under the
boiling sun. Being able to fully open the eyes was a mission in itself yet to be accomplished. As
we got to the place, I looked right above me and saw a huge attention seeking sign that screamed
the name of the restaurant, pizzaiolo. The aroma of the food had already made its way through
my nose, triggering my roaring hunger even more. Because we hastily decided to come inside, in
hopes of escaping the blistering heat, there was little I could observe outside. Although before
fully stepping indoors, I did catch a glimpse of the dark blue pool and recognized it’s successful
attempt of seduction. As we entered the indoor restaurant, the wooden chairs and tables caught
my attention. For the hefty price of the goods of the restaurant, this place was definitely not as
visually appealing as I had anticipated. The tables weren’t decorated with the standard staple of
tissues and cutlery, and the lighting wasn’t welcoming at all. The colors that the restaurant was
surrounded with were the bland hues of black brown and beige. There’s nothing in particular that
caught my eyes- that was until I looked up and saw the most diverse caps one could think of
garnishing the entire left side of the wall. As we sat down on the hard wooden chairs, Familiar
faces surrounded my vision, all focusing on their own descriptions of the restaurant. Right as we
started to grow impatient for the food, an angel in the form of a waiter came with the most
beautiful margarita pizza I’d ever laid my eyes on. After eating a slice of that heavenly pizza, my
harsh opinions about the ugly restaurant successfully performed a 360. It’s safe to say I’ve been
dreaming about that restaurant since that day.
