Stock Rotation

Responsibility
The QA Manager is responsible for documenting and implementing stock rotation.

The Production Manager is to ensure stock rotation is controlled (maintained) throughout dry, chilled,
and ambient storage for raw materials, rework, work in progress and finished product:
 Check stock regularly to ensure FIFO is adhered to
 Ensure there is no expired stock
 Ensure all stock is appropriately sealed and traceable
 Ensure all staff members are aware of Stock Rotation

Raw Materials
 Use the FIFO system: First In First Out
 If unsure, follow the label that has Use-by-Date, or date packed
 NEVER place fresher stock in front of older stock
 All incoming raw material is stored in a way which ensures that stock is properly rotated (as
per Receival & Storage Procedures)
 Opened product: follow Product Identification & Traceability Procedure

Finished Product
 Use the FEFO system: First Expiry First Out
 Finished product is identifiable through the Best-Before date code
 All chilled and frozen stock is stored in a special rotational system to ensure proper dated
stock is dispatched
 Stock control: all finished products are made against customer orders
 All finished product is released within 36 hours of production date

Stock rotation meets our customer requirements.
