ACTION PLAN FOR ENGLISH AND READING MONTH CELEBRATION

Title: English and Reading Month Celebration 2022

Proponents: English Club Officers and English Teachers
Theme: Rediscovering the Legacy of Literature through Reading
Scope: All students of Rosario Lim Uy National High School
Venue: RLUNHS Stage
Date: November 21-25, 2022

I. RATIONALE

English Department brought the RLUNHS academic community to the magical

world of reading as they celebrated English and Reading Month in November,
an event declared by the Department of Education (DepEd) under its
Memorandum No. 1219, s. 2022. It offer programs to culminate the
celebration and to achieve its goals which are to deepen the appreciation for
books, exhibit the writing and visual art skills, expand students’ vocabulary,
encourage accurate word usage, develop skill in oral language and all
expressive mechanisms, promote teacher, students, and community relations
and camaraderie, and gear up the students with values and meaningful life
lessons.

II. OBJECTIVES

The aims of this event are as follows:

1. To strengthen the value of reading to teachers and students.
2. To show the students’ hidden talents and potentials.
3. To develop unity and cooperation within the group.
4. Boost the students’ confidence in using the language and become
good
communicators.
5. To support learning through visualization.
6. To develop student’s love for reading

III. DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY

 This activity will be participated of all bona fide students of Rosario Lim Uy
National High School.
 This activity will be conducted in response to the Presidential Proclamation
No. 264, s. 2002 in celebration of National Science Month.
 This activity will be held in accordance to showcase the skills in reading of
every student, strengthen the value of reading and providing opportunities to
enhance.
