drive their core parts: electric motor, transformers, lighting, rechargeable batteries,

A resistor restricts current flow. It is used in thermistors and potentiometers. Similar to a

low capacity battery, capacitor allows delays to occur in circuits. Inductors are used to
control frequencies.
