Teens today: the dumbest generation?

Teens these days have been a topic of much debate in recent years. Some believe that
students learning outcomes and exam results getting worse and teens become dumber,
while others believe that everything is getting harder and too much is being asked of the
students. How it actually is? Are they really worse than other students?
Presumably, they are not worse than other students, but they are growing up with the
newest technologies so which can have positive and negative effects on their learning. Teens
today may be more interested in chatting online rather than meeting in person for important
conversations. As a matter of fact, while technology provides convenience, it may also
impact their ability to communicate face-to-face communication and active listening
Today's teenagers are the first generation with the ability to quickly search for information
online, unlike previous generations that have to search for information on flat dictionaries or
libraries. While it provides access to vast amount of information, it could also affect critical
thinking. So how we can change these issues? Personally, I think that the most important
thing is the balance between technology and traditional skills and it does not necessarily
mean today‘s teens are less intelligent. Technology can be a valuable tool for learning and
communication, but it also comes with its limitations
In short, try to understand the importance of balancing screen time with offline activities
such as reading, and hobbies.
