Construction Regulations 28(a) Stacking and Storage Supervisor

Appointment and Acceptance of Appointment

I, , the duly assigned person in terms of the Act do hereby designate you

__________________________ in terms of Construction Regulations 28, the duty of ensuring 1)

that the requirements of the Act and Regulations are complied with by the employer, employees and
any person entering onto the site; and that all construction work performed on site is carried out as
follows:

Client: SECURE FIRE Project: SUN OIL MAIN FACTORY SILOS

Your duties include but are not limited to the following

• Ensure that all stacking operations are executed under your personal supervision
• Regularly inspect all the stacking.
• Immediately take action to break down unsafe stacks, and to rebuild them in a safe &
stable manner.
• Ensure, when stacks are built, that the sprinkler systems are not interfered with and that
aisles &
exits are clear at all times.
• Ensure that flammable liquids, gas cylinders, and chemicals are stored safely, and to
report
any unsafe stacking to the Health and Safety Committee.
