Garden Journal

YOUR GARDEN JOURNAL is a record of all that happens in your medicine patch throughout the course of the year—
which plants grew well and which ones didn’t, the birds and pollinators that came to call, problem insects and diseases,
weather patterns, the location of annual herbs and crops, siting notes, and any other observations or events you’d like to
remember.
Recording this year’s garden observations will help you plan for more abundance and beauty next year!
The Garden Journal has three parts: 1) a chart to record observations about specific herbs and plants, 2) a grid for mapping
your garden layout each year so you can rotate annual plants next season, and 3) a general notes section for writing down
big-picture observations and future hopes and dreams.

GARDEN GRID (Map out the location of herbs and other crops, especially noting where you place annual plants. This will help you with
crop rotation next year, allow you to easily relocate perennials that need a different habitat, and add new herbs to the garden.)
