Proactive and reactive.

3. What are the differences between the two types of people?


The deference between a reactive person and a proactive person is that a reactive person
will yell, express their anger, be mad about every little inconvenience that happens. A
Reactive person will blame those around for what happened. A proactive person stays
calm, talk it out and find a solution to the problem. Also, a proactive person will take
responsibility for their own lives and actions.

The drink that Sean Covey compares to reactive people is a Coke that explodes because
they react more using their emotions and they make bad choices out of impulse, if life
shakes them, the pressure builds and they explode.

The drink that Sean Covey compares to proactive people is water because proactive
people make choices based on their values, they think before they act, they are always
calm, collected and in control of their emotions.

Reactive language takes power away from you and gives it someone or something else,
like saying that you aren’t in control of your own happiness.

Proactive people are a different type of person because you are in control our your life an
what you do and you get to choose where you are. Some word choices are: I’ll do it, I can
do better than that and let’s look at all of our options.

Some people that believe a can do attitude is to take responsibility of your life.

A can- do attitude is to take initiative to make something happen , think about solutions
and options, consider all options before taking a decision.

When feeling like things are moving too fast just press pause this is to gain back control,
think about what you are going to say and that way you’ll make smarter decisions

An unhealthy habit I have is that I cry about how stressed I am, but I’ll write down what
it is I’m thinking of so I can get it out of my head and not cry because of overwhelming
stuff.
