Tickets for Blessed Trinity's third annual chicken barbecue Open House with a concluding performance at 3 PM. This is a

sale now for just $15 each. This year, we are offering delivery
to St. Lawrence and SS. Columba-Brigid parishes following
their 4:30 PM Masses as long as the order is placed in ad-

MOTHER’S DAY MASS CARDS
Mother’s Day cards and intention envelopes are
available at the Welcome Desk. Intention envelopes
are for writing the names of living and deceased
mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, etc., and en-
closing a donation. The cards are available to give to living
mothers. Please return intention envelopes in the collection
basket. They must be received by May 7th. All names sub-
mitted will be included in the May 14th (Mother’s Day) bulle-
tin.
FOOD PANTRY WORKDAY
The next Vineyard Ministries Food Pantry workday is sched-
uled for 9 am to Noon, Saturday May 20, 2023. We will be
sorting, packing and delivering food to families unable to pick
up. The pantry is located at 25 Roma Avenue. Ques-

BLESSED TRINITY
Blessed Trinity Church celebrates the NY Landmarks Conserv-
ancy’s 50th anniversary by participating in its statewide Sacred
Sites Weekend. This year’s Open House will be on Sunday,
May 21st from 1-3PM and coincides with the church’s construc-
tion centennial, its cornerstone having been laid in August
1923. Experience this “made in America” treasure considered
to be the purest replication of 12th century Lombard-
Romanesque architecture in the USA. Learn about its hand-
made bricks set in a style dating back to the Middle Ages, ex-
tensive use of terra cotta, fascinating medieval iconography,
display of more than 2,000 Christian symbols and recent build-
ing preservation efforts. The church’s original 1927 Tellers-
Kent organ will be featured in musical interludes during the

Rising temperatures, erratic rainfall and recurrent drought have
pounded areas such as Honduras, depleting harvests and leav-
ing millions hungry. For farmers like Eulalio Amaya Orellana,
the impacts of climate change are all too common. “The sum-
mers are very strong,” he said. “I planted but I could not harvest
due to a lack of water. The temperatures dried out our plants.”
