1. What is a procedure text?

Procedure text is a type of text whose contents are in the form of instructions for doing something.
2. What is the social function of a procedure text?
The purpose of procedure text is to make it easier for the reader to understand the stages or ways of
doing something.
3. What is the generic structure of a procedure text? Explain!
The procedure text structure consists of three, namely:
1) Goal/Aim
Goal is a procedural text structure that explains the intent or purpose.
Example:
How to Make Dalgona Coffee
2) Materials
Materials is a procedural text structure that explains the tools and materials needed.
Example:
The ingredients to make Dalgona coffee are coffee and sugar. We also need a spoon and warm
water.
3) Steps
The next procedure text structure is steps, which contains steps or instructions for making or
doing something.
Example:
First, wash the tomatoes.

4. Language Features
 Imperative Sentence is a sentence that contains an order to do something.
Example:
Add 3 onions and mix it well.
 Action Verb are action verbs meaning that when the verb is used an action is taken,
Example:
make means to make or cook means to cook,
 Temporal conjunction used to link the steps in it so that the list of instructions made is coherent
and easy to understand.
Example:
Firstly, secondly, then, after that, dan finally.
