Incomplete Sentence
Do’s-
1. Check if it expresses a complete thought.
2. Using complete sentences in the session.
3. Cross check the scripts and sentences before posting in the chat box.

Don’ts-
1. Framing incomplete questions and explanations.
2. Using one word responses.
3. Splitting sentences and sending it in the chat box.

2. Punctuation
Do’s-
1. Using proper punctuation in each sentence.
2. Ending sentence with period(.) and Interrogative(?) as per the sentence structure.
3. Should know the use of commas (,), SemiColon (;), and Colon (:).

Don’ts
1. Don't use exclamation marks.
2. Avoid using punctuations after emoji's (If emoji's are at the end of the sentence)
3. Do not capitalize the letter after using comma until it is a noun

3. One word Answer-


Do’s
1. Always use the complete sentence.
2. Using complete sentences to explain the concept or acknowledge the Student's
queries.
3. Tutors should address and give a complete response to the student.

Don’ts
1. Never use one word replies.
2. Avoid one word responses such as No, Yes, Okay.
3. The Tutor should not respond as "Hmm”, “Yeah".
4. Tutors should avoid interjections while handling the sessions.

4. Inappropriate Response (Following the chat scripts)-


Do’s
1. Understand what the student is trying to say.
2. The Tutors should be using formal tone or sentences in the session.
3. Address the Student by referring to his/her first name
Don’ts
1. Do not give the responses that are not suitable to the student's query.
2. Sharing personal details
3. Using personal comments to appreciate the Student for his or her work.
4. Using negative comments while reviewing the answer such as you are wrong.
5. Addressing the Student as Dear or Student.
6. Excessive usage of emoticons.

5. Addressing Parent and Teacher’s concern-


Do’s
1. Understand the Parent and Teacher’s concern.
2. Give appropriate response
3. Acknowledging their concern and immediately informing the Team lead
regarding the Parent or teacher involvement in the session.

Don’ts
1. Ignoring the Parents or Teacher queries.
2. Referring the parent or Teacher as Mam or Sir.
3. Ignoring the Parent or Teacher request.
4. Should not promote any products to fix the issue in their device. Instead we can
inform them to contact FEV Support.

6. One way audio when to initiate-


Do’s
1. Initiating one way audio for all elementary grade Students at the start of the
session.
2. Informing a part of the student’s answer in the chat-box while acknowledging
when the student uses a mic to respond in the session
3. The Tutor should check his/her mic connection to make sure it is muted from
their end.
4. For IEP students, and specialEd students as per the school’s instruction.
5. Students who are not able to type can use one way audio to answer questions.

Don’ts

1. For MS and HS grades if its not stated


2. Consuming too much time to initiate one way audio
3. Forgetting to check the mic settings from the Tutor's end.
4. Should not compel the student to connect the mic when the student is
comfortable with chat.

Do's:
● Address the Student by referring to his/her first name in the session.

Ex: Student name: Jania Barclay

It should be addressed as, "Hello Jania."

● After introducing lessons, explain the lesson objectives in one or two sentences.
● Initiating one-way audio for Elementary grade Students, PA Cyber and Hope
Academy Students.
● Instruct the students to highlight only confusing or difficult words.
● Informing the Student about why they earned points in the session (Participation
points)

Ex: You have earned a point for highlighting the difficult word.

● Write a note in the Tutor's comments about the issue faced or any specific
instructions about that session.
● Use the welcome slide based on the schools.
● Check the schedule regularly for any comments and special instructions.
● Check the subject in the dashboard after picking the session.

Don't:

● Using Emotions in the session.


● Using "Student", “dear,” “full name of the student,” “Second or Middle name” to
address the Student in the session instead of the Student's first name.

Example: Student name: Jania Barclay

Addressing the Student as "Hello Student" or "Hello Jania Barclay" is wrong.

● Don’t click on “Q” before introducing the concept of the lesson.


● Don’t use repeated scripts.
● Don’t ask prior knowledge questions.
● Don’t ask the Student to highlight the details while reading the passage.
● Don’t mark paragraphs as hints.
● Avoid scripts based on religious sentiments.
● Don’t skip any topic from the ILP unless it's informed.
● Don’t post lengthy contents in the chatbox.
● Don’t use exclamation marks in the session.

Avoid using sentences/phrases like:

● Is that clear to you?


● Let me precise the answer for you.
● One-word responses such as "Okay or No."
● Don't use the word "doubts"; instead, use "questions."
● Don’t use words like close or almost or near when informing about the answers.

Ex: You are close to the answer.

Escalations:

● Escalating the tech issues or any network issues in real-time.


● Escalating about teacher/parent involvement in the session.
● Escalating any inappropriate language or behavior of the Student to the TL.
● Taking confirmation with the Team lead before ending any of the sessions
(Applicable or scheduled, on-demand, offline Student, and non-responsive
Students).
● Leaving a note to your TL about low-rated and negative comment sessions.
● When Q is not working.
