Housekeeping cleaning checklist

Daily
Before knocking, check for “Do not disturb” and check if any pets in room 10
If no sign, knock 3 times and say “Housekeeping”
 After entrance, leave the door open
 If possible, open the windows and air out the room
 Turn on all lights an appliance(thermostat) and check if all are working properly
 Check the room inventory such as glasses, cutlery or plates and remove them
 Enter the bathroom and take away all dirty towels
 Apply cleaners properly to each surface and let it stand for a few minutes
 Remove the decorative cover and pillows from the bed
 Strip and shake out all bed linens to ensure no items have been left behind by guests
 Have a look under the bed and nightstand for items left behind
 Test the drapes to make sure they slide easily
 Look over the walls and ceilings for dust and cobwebs
 Dust all appliances, fixtures and Furnitures
 Clean coffee machine
 Clean mirrors and glass surfaces
 Vacuum the room
 Deodorize the room
 Strip the bed of all linens and pillowcases
 Put new sheets and pillowcases
 Cover the bed with a clean duvet and smooth out any winkles
 Look for any signs of water leaks from bathroom fixtures And report to manager
 Clean Shower and bathtub then wipe down with a dry cloth
 Scrub and disinfect the toilet bowl
 Clean and sanitise the toilet seat, lid and handle
 Clean mirrors
 Clean vanity top, tiles and grout
 Inspect the bathroom and remove any stray hairs
 Remove trash from trash cans and fit with new liners
 Deodorize the bathroom
 Replace all amenities as coffee cups, filters, coffee, teabags, stationery and pen hotel
information, shampoo and conditioner, soap and lotion, tissues, toilet paper, clean
towels washcloths and bathmats
