FUEL SYSTEM
FUEL TRANSFER (650 SPECIFIC DIFFERENCE)

• With Fuel in the AUX tanks, and FUS 1 selected, fuel will automatically begin transferring from FWD FUS 1 and AFT FUS 1 to the wing
tanks when the wing tanks are below 4,198 lbs. If FWD and AFT tanks are equal, the fuel in FWD FUS 1 transfers to the right wing tank,
and fuel in AFT FUS 1 transfers to the left wing tank.
If the AUX tanks are filled to capacity, the FWD tanks hold more fuel than the AFT tanks. Therefore, the FWD tanks have the capability to
transfer to both left and right wing tanks.
When the fuel is transferred out of the FWD tank, and the quantity in the FWD tank has reached the level of the AFT tank, then the FWD
will continue transfer to the right tank only, while the AFT tank will begin transfer to the left tank. Once all fuel is transferred out of the
FUS 1 system, FUS 2 would be selected and it operates in the same manner.
• The 650 is additionally equipped with a ventral tank which always feeds both left and right wing tanks.
• The transfer logic will maintain the longitudinal balance, but not lateral balance. Lateral imbalance should be corrected by using the
crossfeed, and it is permissible to use the crossfeed simultaneously with the transfer.
• If an imbalance occurs, both the Legacy 600 and 650 have maintenance panels which allow transfer between tanks.
