VIII. Course General At the end of the semester, the student should be able to:
Objectives 1. Understand goals, objectives, and importance of the National Service Training Program (NSTP);
2. Explain the basic premises of the Constitution and its importance to the citizenry;
3. Identify the desirable traits of a Filipino that contribute to his development as well as the national
development;
4. Explain the importance of functional literacy and numeracy;
5. Identify and demonstrate teaching approaches for young and adult learners on numeracy and literacy;
6. Prepare lesson plans and needed instructional materials;
7. Identify and understand various activities in the community and the need for education; and
8. Prepare interview and survey questionnaire for assessment of community needs.

XV. 1. Regular attendance is required for all students. Number of absences is limited only to 20% of the total
contact hour (11 hours)
2. Wearing of the university student’s ID and uniform at all times is required for all the students except
when having field activities.
3. Cellular phones must be off during classes.
4. Seat plan for large classes will be implemented
5. 3 tardiness is equivalent to 1 day of absence
6. Special examination is only allowed to students with valid reason, and within 1 week after the scheduled
examination. If the student fails to take special examination during the grace period, he/she will incur a
grade of zero on the examination.
7. Student shall abide the instructor/professor’s policy on the submission of learning outputs based on the
metrics and deadline given.
