Document Development Exposition: White Paper

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
I started with no concrete ideas until I came across the Idea of dune erosion. Originally, my draft did
not have much. My page numbers included my cover page, which had no photos or proper headings
on it. I had a running idea, but it required extensive research online.

First Draft (for peer editing)

For my first draft, I added photos for the cover page, in addition to adding a table of contents. I had
the information on the page, but my subheadings were bad.

Second Draft (for your packet)

For my packet, I added visual information such as figures that present information on dune erosion
with plants present vs. without plants present. In this stage I added in sources as well as drew
conclusions.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

In my final draft, I did many revisions that were suggested such as fixing my table of contents to use
the official Microsoft Word version, changed my text to use a block style, and revised much of my
text to sound significantly more professional.
