Select one department in CSPC and determine their information security lifecycle
policies. Here are the guide questions:

1. How does the department collect information?


The admissions team interacts directly with prospective students, parents,
applicants, alumni, staff, and faculty to provide services and support that lead to a
positive student experience. The team is responsible for:
 evaluating and producing offers of admission; and
 recording and maintaining official student academic records.

2. How does the department utilize the collected information?


The records team interacts directly with current students, alumni, staff, and
faculty to provide services and support that lead to a positive student experience. The
team is responsible for recording and maintaining official student academic records.

3. How does the department dispose the collected information?


The systems team supports all the systems of Office of the Registrar to ensure
that they are correctly functioning and providing efficient workflow in the office. The
team works closely with Information Systems and Technology (IST) to provide system
solutions and are responsible for supporting the overall maintenance and
implementation of features in our student information system, class scheduling
software, and a number of other related systems; providing student information to
multiple systems on campus; and ensuring security of the student record in compliance
with the University's privacy policy.
